The word Curome emerges from my idea of being able to curate unique and exclusive pieces to design homes. Therefore Curome(Curated-home). Forsooth- it all started as a passion to  grow a niche for chic, sophisticated and affordable designs in India.

Curome has been a dream since I was a kid. I always had this immense love for interiors and home decor. I used to collect beautiful things from different places to decorate my home.

But I somehow couldn’t study design during the early years of my academic life. As I grew, this dream grew with me and my husband finally observed my interest towards interiors and motivated me to study design. And that gave me wings to start and nourish a truly unique and well thought out aesthetic. When I started taking the decor game more seriously I had a hard time finding things that I liked locally and that really persuaded me to hunt for karigars in India who could bring my vision to reality. 

As I started understanding the whole idea more clearly I knew that making my design beautiful was not the only thing I wanted to do. I wanted to make them economically viable, functional and add layers of perspective.  

At Curome we create and curate aspirational yet affordable home decor inspired by our love for travel, craft and culture, using Indian craftsmanship and a global design aesthetic.

 

Even after having a clear picture of what I wanted to do, this only stayed in yearly planner’s vision page. Being a new mom I couldn’t think of taking up a venture so big that required major time of my day. But with my parents, husband and sister’s staunch support I could make Curome happen. They’ve been the most encouraging throughout.

It’s only because of these beautiful people in my life that I’m finally stepping towards the life of my dreams and could find my true calling!

 

I now look to build interior design spaces from scratch, work as a stylist , and also offer ‘one of a kind’ home decor products.

And this gives me so much joy as I wake up every morning.
